Saunders Remodeling

"We're very happy with our bathroom remodel. The workmanship was excellent, the project stayed on schedule, and the crew was respectful and kept the work area clean."

I used Saunders Remodeling for a full kitchen & bathroom reno a little over a year ago, and I wanted to be sure to write a review now that I've had a good amount of time to pass. I honestly couldn't speak more highly of the quality of work and attention to detail. Bill Saunders navigated the permit process (notoriously ridiculous in New Rochelle) and was an on the job contractor. It's a small crew but they're mighty, and Bill was present. There weren't a million people working on the job, but still the work progressed steadily and because Bill was present and involved, the workmanship was very high quality. He is also the CLEANEST contractor I've ever worked with. Everything was tidied up and put away every. single. day. Bill made suggestions, but was respectful if I disagreed. I will also add that his instinct to push back on a design choice I made was spot on and taking his advice was the best choice I made: it resulted in a much more open and airy look in the kitchen. He also helped me think through the renovation options I had for my small bathroom and I love how it came out. Last thing I want to note is that going into the renovation, I'd had a leak and NO ONE could find the source because it would only happen during certain kinds of rain events. After the reno was done, it reappeared, and Bill went to work making sure it wasn't something that wasn't properly fixed in the reno. We quickly figured out it had nothing to do with the renovation, but couldn't find the leak. When I tell you Bill was like a dog with a bone, I am not lying. It was like he had a personal vendetta because it was impacting the beautiful kitchen he'd finished. Whenever a hard rain came, he'd either have me record any leaking or he'd come and look. He opened up the wall in my daughter's room above the kitchen to see if he could find it there. In the end, he figured out that it was an improperly installed window in my daughter's room (he fixed it) and a 1-inch gap at the apex of the roof, three stories up (he fixed that, too!). The 12 year mystery leak has been fixed, and it has been bone dry ever since Bill fixed it.

My experience with Billy/Saunders Remodeling has been EXCEPTIONAL each time he’s done work in my home! I’ve now had the privilege of having Billy remodel/update many things inclusive of the kitchen, all bathrooms, adding a bathroom and most recently my entire basement. He’s creative, incredibly responsive - does everything within the time he’s promised, is very well priced (!!) and has added tremendous value to my home! So glad I found him and love the work he’s done. He is fabulous and I highly recommend him 🎉

Bill and his team installed a master bath and walk in closet to our home.
