Master Contracting

Hired them to repair a retaining wall and step joints back in 2024. Complete catastrophe. They are definitely not qualified for masonry work: bad workmanship and no sense of aesthetics (e.g., failing to choose stone that matched the existing structure). The following year, we had to hire a new contractor to redo the wall. We didn't redo the step joints at that time, but now, just two years later, they are completely cracked and need to be redone as well.

Great find- dedicated- professional- kept in constant communications about their services- very unique in today’s world- I will recommend them to anyone- There should be more contractors like them-

Master Contracting was fantastic from start to finish. They came out quickly, gave us a very fair estimate with no pressure, and had the entire job completed within a week. The workmanship was excellent, communication was great throughout the process, and everything was done exactly as promised. It’s hard to find contractors who are this reliable and professional. I highly recommend Master Contracting and would absolutely use them again for future projects.

WORKING WITH SIMPLICIO D’SOUZA, the owner of master contracting, is absolute nightmare. Here’s why; 1) the price he gave initially (to acquire the job) nearly doubled. He kept raising the price saying he needs more stuff to do more things. He knows to be attentive and nice only to collect money 2) when he starts the job, he puts in one day with a couple guys, and disappears for weeks. His urgency dies down once he collects the money. He doesn’t care anymore 3) he charges premium money and then hires someone to do the job whoever he can underpay the most. Even the sub contractors he hires have issues with him getting paid. He charged me 3500 for sprinkler system all around and he tries to pay the guy 800 for doing the job 4) when I have an issue, or a concern, all he does is ignore my calls and texts. He is now no where to be found and doesn’t communicate as he promised. He is a huge rip off 5) I wouldn’t have agreed to the job with him at the price that it’s gotten to, but this man knows what he’s doing, and he keeps raising the price to see the most he can suck out. To then not show up until a month later and make health excuses to get you to feel bad for him. 6) he messes up a pool installed it very very sloppy and then says he doesn’t know what else how to fix it. 7) he left me with draining problems, and I told him before this masonry, I never had any draining issues! After fooods and heavy rains I was always dry, now after spending 100k with him this is what I get? See photos Bottom line, I wish I would have went with a different contractor. That’s to be careful in general but especially with this guy. He puts up the nice guy act to take your money and vanish! And the electician he works with and was overpaid, doesn’t answer me how to use the system. I can puke thinking about my experience with d souza and master contracting. I wish I can reverse time and not give them a dollars worth of business. HIS RETAINING WALLS CRACK BADLY WITHIN 8 months of being done. Willing to take this review down if you come back to correct your wrongs…biggest rip off ever SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT HIRE MASTER CONTRACTING AND D’souza. Please save yourself
