Why I Built HV Trades
I built HV Trades because finding local contractors online should not be as difficult as it is.
The Hudson Valley has thousands of contractors doing important work in our homes and communities, but there has never been one strong local platform dedicated to organizing those businesses and making them easier to discover.
Too many contractors are nearly invisible online. Others are buried beneath national platforms, advertisements, and companies located far outside the homeowner’s community.
I saw an opportunity to build something better: a platform rooted in the Hudson Valley, designed around the way homeowners actually search, and structured to help local businesses establish a meaningful digital presence.
