Beware of Bruce . I am an own a local paving company who has been in business for over 40 years Mr Blacktop . A-1 installed a fence for a customer before i came in to do the paving . Bruce was aware of the blacktop getting installed while giving the estimate and while doing the job . When we did the paving next to the fence it melted and made the gate not close and made a dent at the bottom. In 40 years, we have never had a problem of this. Every fence has a wooden post inside it so it can be sturdy. The client trusted Bruce even asking him. Are you sure you don’t need wood in there . Bruce told the client he won’t need a wooden post. I was surprised when I was done with the job of what happened the fence didn’t close right and only one of the post had a little bending it so I figured have him come out and readjust the hinge and fix the one post. Bruce replace four of them not one. He concreted the post in but yet he couldn’t put concrete around the post and make it where I can match up to the concrete with blacktop ? This tells me either Bruce is incompetent or didn’t care and left me holding the bag after I am done with the job. He said he been doing this for so many years and never had a problem. Well then if that’s the case, then it’s a defective product. I have never had this problem only when it is not reinforced. I was under the impression that the fence was put in properly for a driveway to be put in next to it. I had to call 3 times the frost time a voicemail with no call back then I talked his secretary and she told me to talk to Bruce about this, his secretary told me that he’ll call me next week and it was mid week. Only time I got a response from Bruce is when I said I was going to leave a review online. I try to talk to Bruce very nicely and professional interrupted him a few times to try to say hey, let’s talk professional and then he continued very rude, arrogant, and acted like who cares he’s Bruce and he could do whatever he wants. It’s not about paying the money. It’s about taking responsibility as a business owner . I paid because of the client not because any other reason . As local business owners when there’s a problem, we all talk to each other before we go out and fix something this is professional courtesy explain the situation. Instead, Bruce blame me that I should’ve put a border in between it . That’s his job he is the fence guy. He knew we were going to Blacktop. I don’t recommend working with Bruce. He put a secretary on the phone and wouldn’t even talk anymore because Bruce did not wanna take accountability as a business owner and a man. I’m a business owner. I have redone driveways, free of charge without a client complaining or pointing anything out because I knew it was not up to standards. I really hate writing this review. I do not like to talk about a local company, but in this case it Has to be done. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and split the responsibility with him but I never got that far with him over his screaming and yelling. I was told this was no Home Depot cheap fence . I’ve never had a Home Depot fence melt while paving . I really hope he learns from this that you can’t talk to people like this and take responsibility for your actions .

Bruce and his crew installed our semi private fence today..we are extremely pleased..it looks wonderful..a pleasure to deal with. Great price as well..would definitely recommend this company
