On 08/20/2025, through text, I arranged with Scott Berryhill of Berryhill Electric to mount (2) large screen TV's and to diagnose an issue with my Bose speakered sound system.  The agreed upon amount was to be $ 225.00 unless the scope of the Bose issue was beyond his expertise, then the price would be adjusted downward.  I had procured Scott's name through the Thumbtack app. I even asked Scott did he have much experience in mounting TV's an audio/video issues, since I saw he was actually an electrician; he never answered the question.  Lesson to be learned: when you ask a question of a tradesman and you get no reply or no plausible reply, look elsewhere. Specifically, as regards the TV mounting, a 65" TV which was downstairs was to be taken upstairs and mounted with a new fully articulating mount that I provided.  There was also an issue of running the cable line from an adjacent wall that it was on,  to the wall where the new mount was to be mounted so that the cable line would be behind the new mount on the wall of the TV. The other TV downstairs, to replace the 65" that went upstairs, was to be replaced by a new 77" TV using the old 65" mount; this may have involved moving that existing mount higher/lower/side to side to accomodate the new TV size in that location so it would be properly situated on the wall. What Scott did was this: As regards the TV downstairs; he removed the brackets from the back of the 65" TV and mounted them to the 77" TV.  When the TV was hung it was too high; he then adjusted the brackets to the back of the new 77" TV (THIS IS WHERE REPOSITIONING THE MOUNT WOULD HAVE COME INTO PLAY), where they now sit above the height of the back of the TV.  Although the TV is centered on the wall after Scott and his helper moved it to that centered position, the brackets DO NOT SIT CENTERED ON THE TV MOUNT WHICH MAY POSSIBLY LEAD TO A CATASTROPIC FAILURE.  What should have been done, is the existing mount should have been repositioned higher/lower/side to side on the wall to accomodate the size of this TV at 77" vs the old TV sized at 65".  Scott even had to take screws from my new mount (the upstairs mount) and use them for the downstairs mount.  If you're indeed a "TV mount installer", wouldn't you carry all necessary screws/other equipment that may be used in any given scenario???? After the downstairs TV was "mounted" the helper remained in my house and Scott disappeared for some (10) minutes; when he returned, he told a tale of "an emergency" and would have to leave,  leaving me with the upstairs TV unmounted.  This was very odd behavior; no explanation of the nature of the emergency or that he would return at a later date to finish mounting the other TV. When I wuestioned him on "the emergency" via text, he still provided no explanation. Scott proceeded to charge me $ 99.00; now you ask for what; for removing the new TV from the box, moving some brackets which extend beyond the centered back of my TV and brackets that hold the TV to the mount but are not centered on the mount which may give rise to catastrophic issues in the future...that's worth $ 99.00?????? Mr. Berryhill may indeed be a very competent electrician; I cannot and won't speak to that as I have never used him in an electrical job situation.  What I do know is that he is NOT an audio/video professional in the truest sense.  I would think twice to hire him to install/mount a TV. In my opinion, his competency and abilities in mounting TV's and assessing audio/visual issues seems to leave a lot to be desired.
