Dacaj Construction

We hired Dacaj Construction to renovate two bathrooms and convert our unfinished basement into a code-compliant ADU with full waterproofing and a new egress. Zef and his team handled everything from permits and inspections to coordinating with our architect, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. The quality of the workmanship, communication, and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a reliable general contractor in NYC or Westchester for a basement renovation, ADU conversion, bathroom remodel, or complete home renovation, I highly recommend Dacaj Construction.

I worked with Zef and his team on a complete renovation of my NYC brownstone, including a rear extension. They handled the entire process, from obtaining the necessary permits and approvals to coordinating with my architect and structural engineer. Navigating permits and structural work in New York City can be challenging, but Zef made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The team installed new structural steel beams to create large openings and completed the extension with great attention to detail. From the initial budgeting phase through project completion, Zef was responsive, professional, and transparent every step of the way. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations, and the project was completed with great craftsmanship and attention to detail. I highly recommend Zef and the team at Dacaj Construction to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy contractor for a renovation or construction project in NYC.

Great experience working with Dacaj Construction on our first project together. Zef was professional, organized, and easy to communicate with. Meetings were always on time, coordination was smooth, and payments were made promptly as agreed. Looking forward to many more successful projects together. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My apartment’s original master bathroom and closets were absolutely outdated and in need of a complete transformation. Once I reached out to Zef, there was a straightforward plan to a full-gut renovation that included removing my old tub, install a modern walk-in shower, install new tiling, etc. Zef was very transparent and supportive in making sure all materials would cohesively tie in together, while recommending suppliers who would actually lower my projected costs. The work was done very efficiently, it seemed like everyday there was something transformative; tiling, lighting, framing, etc. Zef made sure to give me daily updates and suggestions on how to fur my old eyesore of a bathroom into a modern work of art. He also renovated both of my closets with a very sophisticated triple-bypass sliding door system, with cubbies in the center to accommodate my massive sneaker collection. No job seemed too difficult for Zef or his employees. I’m beyond grateful that I trusted Zef to make my place feel more like home. Once the renovations were completed, the transformation was so stark and impressive that I barely recognized the place. If you are in the market for a home improvement specialist, calling Dacaj Construction is a great way to start the project. Thanks for everything Zef!!
