Jim's Driveway Sealing and Paving

After sealing my driveway, my driveway started to crumble and fall apart within weeks. They did not treat me as a "new customer" because they considered my driveway the customer. They were woefully unresponsive and inconsiderate. I cannot emphasize enough for people to look elsewhere for their services, and I will never use them again for the decades I am planning to live in their market. Awful in every way. I feel extorted.

Here is a first for us. My wife and I have lived in our Carmel home for almost 18 years. This is the first business to tell us, “We just can’t send someone out there to take a look.” What? We need our driveway sealed and there are cracks that need to be filled so we called Jim’s Driveway Sealing and Asphalt Paving and left a message. One hour ago a person called and asked what we needed so I explained we needed the driveway sealed and there were cracks that should be addressed. She said, and I quote: “We don’t do that?” What? You’re a driveway and asphalt company. “Nope,” the person said, “we don’t do cracks.” I replied that they hadn’t even seen the driveway yet. Can’t someone take a look? The reply, “We can’t just send someone out there. You probably need the driveway repaved.” Almost 18 years and that is about the most amazing conversation with a potential contractor I ever had.

Warning, they don't care about customer service. We had Jim's come and patch a pothole in my driveway on September 2025. We noticed that the pothole reappeared 4 weeks ago and I emailed them on May 11, 2026 with the picture clearly showing the pothole right on the seam of where they patched it last fall. I didn't get a response from the email so I called on May 18 and spoke with Marie who told me that someone will be out to fix is at the end of the week. No one showed up so I called again on May 26 and left a message with a lady for Marie to call me back. Didn't hear back for days so my wife called them today May 29 and was told that they are not scheduling fixes and they will call us back to schedule. I have no reason to believe they will reach back out and at this point and will look to hire someone else to fix the job they did.
