We recently had an issue with our sewer line which runs beneath our garage out to the main sewer. It had become cracked and misaligned, causing backups into our mechanical room. After calling a number of contractors , who had different solutions with outrageous prices, we found JR Newman of KNJ plumbing in Yonkers. JR came quickly, assessed the problem by using technicians who inserted a camera into the sewer system and located the crack. He had his excavation crew and plumbing crew repair the problem quickly and efficiently. Throughout the entire process, JR was in contact with us by phone, text and in person overseeing each part of the process. His charges were reasonable. His trustworthiness, professionalism and workmanship are exemplary.

I can’t say enough about JR. He is skilled, polite, committed, and always available for any needs that may arise. Whether it’s an emergency or an everyday fix needed, he is there. I cannot recommend highly enough.

KNJ Plumbing & Heating provide fast and caring service to my elderly Dad that needed pilot light on furnace lit. He even called the next morning to make sure everything was working well and to advise me of a safety issue we should take care of. Highly recommend this company!

JR and Mark are everything you want in a plumber—super responsive, no-nonsense, and knowledgeable. We called them for help with a list of small issues around our new home, which they addressed quickly and at a fair price. But what earned JR a spot as our new go-to plumber was his kindness in helping us fix an after hours emergency issue we had, which we had been working with another plumber (unsuccessfully) to resolve. JR was able to help us reset a sensor on our boiler over the phone, and saved us from having to go another weekend without hot water (the other plumbers simply had no idea what they were doing, spent an hour fiddling with a bunch of wires, and told us we needed to replace an entirely different valve when a simple Google search would have told them they just needed to reset the sensor with a special sequence—which JR knew right away). We had already been without hot water for a week at this point, so when JR was able to save the day on a Friday night he became a household hero for us! He and Mark are our first calls from now on!
