Almost 10 years ago (2016??), I had to have the whole inground pool redone due to foreseeing structural issues. Initially, the pool was installed 1972/73 by Schech for 6/7K. Nick Nejame installed a liner about 20-25 years. Nick came to assess the job & give me a quote for the new pool. Tom (?) supervised the crew/job. The crew were nice & seemed to do a decent job. I gave them a 1 star because the backwash metal valve was/is defective since Nejame's employee installed it 2016. My PVC ball valve worked fine; 1996-2016 until they removed it because maybe due to a lack of room to turn the "handle" of the PVC ball valve. They replaced my PVC ball valve with their defective metal valve. However, they must have taken my PVC ball valve; it is nowhere to be found. Last year (2025), at their store in Carmel, an employee told me, "all these metal valves stick". Why install defective valves...???!!!! To make more money???? Nejame has NOT remedied the issue with this defective metal valve. They can extend the backwash pipe out of the pool shed & secure a PVC ball valve, since there is no room inside the pool shed. I have emailed numerous times addressed to Tom & a girl (Sarah???) about this valve issue & the cracks in the cement they poured around the new pool. Tom came, told me; "the cracks won't get bigger." They have gotten a little wider/bigger. As for the metal valve, Kevin said nothing. I was, also, perturbed by the damage they left behind; bent fence top rail, wet cement they left piled to dry wherever, etc. ALL was completely moved out of their way prior to their pool job; there was NO reason for any damage. Apparently, they are NOT responsible for any damage they leave behind. They will find any excuse to project damage issues onto the customer. Let's not forget the $1200.00 charge for "pea stone/gravel". It was supposedly $$$ (?) per yard. I know how much pea stone is per yard. They did NOT use all the pea stone I paid for. I wanted them to dump the pea stone in my driveway since I paid for it already; the truck took off too fast. Nejame most likely sold to the next customers; got paid double. I do know what companies do...SHADY. It appears once Nejame has one's money they will NOT remedy issues/complaints. BTW, there are more cracks in the cement at other areas around the pool than in the pics below.
