Pound Ridge Painting Company

Patrick and his crew at Pound Ridge Painting were exceptional from start to finish. Their communication, patience, professionalism, and craftsmanship exceeded our expectations in every way. What began as a straightforward exterior painting project quickly turned into a much larger restoration job once work got underway. As is often the case with older homes, we discovered extensive rot in multiple areas of the trim, along with sections of cedar shingles that needed to be completely replaced. In some locations, the damage was so significant that entire sections had to be torn down and rebuilt before painting could even begin. Despite the expanded scope of work, Patrick and his team handled every challenge with care, precision, and a positive attitude. They kept us informed throughout the process, took the time to do things correctly, and never cut corners. The crew worked incredibly hard—even through several days of rain—to keep the project moving forward. Everyone on the team was courteous, respectful, and highly skilled. It’s rare to find contractors who combine excellent craftsmanship with such strong communication and customer service. We couldn’t be happier with the final result and would recommend Pound Ridge Painting without hesitation. If you’re looking for a company that truly takes pride in their work and treats your home as if it were their own, look no further. The photos are examples of some of the spots on the home where the shingles needed to be completely replaced.

Update: Please don’t use this unlicensed company—this company is a total SCAM, in my opinion. The owner Patrick Reddy has stopped by my house unannounced multiple times to scream at me in front of my small children, threatening me to take my review down. Despite the response below, no attempt has been made to schedule time to repaint/repair carpentry. Instead, Mr Reddy hired an attorney to reach out to me, apparently in an attempt to disclaim the 2 year warranty the company provides by contract. I spent so much money, and our house looks like it hasn’t been painted in 20 years. I’m now left to file complaint with the CT DCP and Attorney general’s office and pursue legal action. Please learn from my mistakes and avoid this company!! We paid a lot of money for Pound Ridge Painting to replace wood and paint our entire house. It was a disaster from the beginning—they used the wrong primer and were clearly doing a poor job. They promised that they would honor their two year guarantee, but now they are ignoring our emails. Please use another company! This is what our house looks like less than a year after having the entire house painted by this company.

Highly recommend! Oscar and his team did an incredibly thorough job preparing, prepping and sanding. They repainted pretty much every interior room in the house, which sorely needed it. They didn’t cut any corners. Communication was always easy and Oscar was patient and helpful in the process of finalizing paint colors.

Our old roof started leaking last fall. After replacing the roof, we needed a painting team to come in to replace damaged ceiling sheetrock, match the original paint etc. All in, a small job. Patrick's team came in as scheduled, protected the furnishings below, proceeded with the work, and finished promptly. We have worked with Patrick before and will continue using his team as needed.

Very reasonable quote, arrived on time and did fantastic work. Couldn’t be happier.
