I called Tee's HVAC after my propane water heater suddenly failed and began emptying water in my basement. I spoke with Billy Smyth that evening and scheduled an appointment for the next morning for a service visit. Based on my description of how the water heater failed and age of the water heater, Billy recommended I go with a new installation and identified a water heater available at a local distributor. Billy and crew came out the next morning and had me up and running with a new water heater within several hours. Billy suggested recommendations for adjustments to some pipe hookups for a better installation and I agreed. The installation was very clean and didn't require me to clean up after they left. Billy and team were quite friendly and walked me through the entire process prior to starting the installation. I highly recommend Tee's HVAC for any of your residential needs.

I met William Smyth a while ago while trying to gather more information about the different Heat pump brands in the market and their characteristics. On the first interview with Mr. Smyth, he impressed me as a pleasant person, who was knowledgeable enough to install my heat pumps. However, I noticed his clear concern about the price of the installation. The estimates that I received from him were very high. This suggested to me again his preoccupation with charging customers as much money as he could for his installation. His demand for a 60% deposit, was larger than all the companies I already interviewed, especially in my case that I have all the equipments. Mr. Smyth said he has been working for different companies, but for some reason, he hasn’t been able to stay with the same company for too many years. Months passed, and I decided to contact Mr. Smyth to see if he could offer me a more reasonable price. He answered that he was happy that I called him because he was no longer working with his previous company, and didn’t have my phone number. He was always contacting me from his cell phone. That was not accurate! He also told me that because he is working now for himself, he can provide me with a better installation price. He sent me his new proposal, and I accepted. I didn’t sign the contract immediately because I needed to find a company that could dig a trench and build a platform where the heat pumps would be installed. He came up with a contractor who could do the trench and the platform as well. On the same day, I went to where this contractor was working to see his work. How disappointed I was to find that this person was referring to me in a very disrespectful demeanor, and to his employees. I replied to Mr. Smyth that I couldn’t have this particular contractor working in my house because he was inappropriate to me and his employees. Mr. Smyth's answer was “OK”. I continued my research to find the right contractor, and I finally did. On 08/29/24 I texted Mr. Smyth to ask him when he could stop by to sign the contract, but he didn’t reply to me. I thought that he was busy, or didn’t have a good phone signal where he was working that particular day. I texted him again on 08/30/24, but I never received any answer either. At this point, I started getting concerned about his well-being. I decided on 8/31/24 to send him a long and detailed email. We have an officially approved contract, and the starting day was within the first fifteen days of October. He didn’t answer my email, and at this point, it was distressing that Mr. Smyth was ignoring me for no reason. Out of a big concern, I started again, looking for a different contractor who I could hire to install my equipment. Looking on the internet I found by accident his new “Tee’s HVAC” company. I noticed that the company has a different phone number. I thought that forgot to inform me that he had a new phone number. I called the number and left a message. No answer! I noticed that he has a different telephone number for emergencies because he is available 24 hours. I sent a text through the emergency number but not answered at all. At this point, I exhausted all the possible ways to contact Mr. Smyth. I was angry and distressed, that the person who I believed and trusted, completely ignored me for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, this is not a person with sufficient knowledge to do my installation nor a person I can trust. As a clinical Psychologist for over 35 years in practice, I can identify Mr. Smyth’s behavior as a person who is very concerned about money and cannot be trusted. Avoid, if possible, having any type of business with this person. You would be looking for potential trouble.
