Westchester Environmental Tree Service

I purchased a cord of firewood from westchester environmental tree service recently and before purchasing I made sure to ask if the firewood was seasoned already and I was told that it was. The wood was delivered and as I was stacking, the wood definitely felt heavier than wood I have purchased in the past. I figured that maybe it was a different type of hardwood and didn’t think too much of it. There was also a significant amount of variation in the length and girth of the wood delivered, to the point that a fair amount of wood does not fit into my stove. I spent an extra hour splitting/cutting pieces of firewood into more reasonably sized pieces. After the initial issues, I now try to light fires, and it is quite difficult to get the fires going, and when they do eventually start, my stove is reaching a temperature significantly lower than previous years. There is hissing and crackling coming from the wood when lit and it is quite obvious that the wood delivered to me still has a significant amount of moisture present. This firewood was definitely not properly seasoned, and I will most certainly never purchase firewood here again. The cord of wood in my garage is unusable now and I am extremely displeased.

They responded quickly. It was a three day job. The workers were prompt and efficient. I have used them in the past and so did my neighbor. Will use them again.

Exceptional team very professional, great pricing everything was done perfectly. Highly recommend this company.
