Based in Rhinebeck, Upstate Modernist designs, builds, and develops architect-designed, site-specific modern homes in the Hudson Valley and upstate New York. Its work includes design-build homes, architectural design, residential construction, custom home commissions, and real estate development. The company’s principals are trained architects who are also licensed contractors, combining design and construction capabilities within the same practice. Upstate Modernist works with residential properties in Rhinebeck, Milan, Red Hook, Hillsdale, Dutchess and Columbia counties, the broader Hudson Valley, and the Catskill foothills.
