I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this time I wouldn’t forgive myself if kept this a secret. When I decided to have built-in bookshelves installed in my home — a very old house with lots of memories but few right angles — I knew I needed someone who could work with the space rather than against it. That is exactly what I found. From the very first conversation, it was clear that this was someone who takes genuine pride in his craft. He listened carefully, asked the right questions, and brought a thoughtful, unhurried approach to the project. He understood that in a house like mine, nothing is perfectly square, nothing is standard, and that the charm of the space depends on honoring those imperfections rather than fighting them. The result is a set of bookshelves that complement the house and raises it to the ‘next level’. The bookshelves bring an element of sophistication and appeal and as a result we use the room ten times more than we ever have. What made working with Robbie such a pleasure, beyond the quality of the finished product, was his professionalism throughout. He showed up when he said he would. He communicated clearly and honestly at every stage. There were no surprises on the bill, no corners cut, and no excuses. In a world where that combination is increasingly rare, it was a joy working with a man with such talent and integrity. His paintwork deserves its own mention. The finish is flawless — clean edges, even coverage, and a level of attention to detail that most painters do not come close to matching. But what is striking is that his technical skill never overshadows his artistic sensibility. My color selection was bright green which could have gone horribly wrong but Robbie’s talent made it look gorgeous. Robbie’s wife, Abby, is equally talented. My taste is somewhat eclectic, and Abby has that discerning eye to mix and match colors and textures so the finished product looks polished rather than hodge podge. I really appreciated her input and suggestions on design. Abby also hung the wallpaper (grass cloth, no less) throughout the house which was no small feat! She had furniture reupholstered for me and the end product was top-notch and reasonably-priced. I would recommend Robbie and Abby without reservation to anyone looking for high-quality carpentry, cabinetry, or interior design work — especially in an older home where craftmanship really matters. The project completely transformed my quirky home into a beautiful gathering spot for our friends and family for which I am eternally grateful.

TARRYTOWN RESIDENCE RENOVATION Working with Robbie and Abigail on our home renovation was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process.
